Raúl Zorrilla holds a BA in Economics and a Masters in business from the ITAM (Mexico’s Intitute of Tecnology). He also has a Masters degree in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics. From 1996 to 2006 Zorrilla held positions at Mexico’s Ministry of Culture including head of Publications, President and Director of the National Foundation for Arts and Culture and Vice minister of Culture of Mexico. He was also director of the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York from to 2006 to 2009, and Deputy director of the Office for Cultural Projects of the IDB (Inter American Development Bank) in Washington, D.C. until 2011. Since then, Zorrilla has been general director of Kurimanzutto gallery in Mexico City, where he is now also a partner.
